CANADA'S ROLE
Canada made history hosting World Vitiligo Day for the first time in Toronto in June of 2025, reaching 60 million people in a single day.
This year, we pass the torch to Chandigarh, India, and we couldn’t be more proud to support them.
Even before World Vitiligo Day launched as a formal global campaign, India was already running a national “Vitiligo Day” program since 2009. Under Prof. Davinder Parsad’s coordination with Indian professional societies and international partners, it formally aligned to June 25 in 2015 — helping set the tempo the global movement still follows.

The U.S. World Vitiligo Day celebration will be hosted in Charlotte, North Carolina, in partnership with North Carolina Vitiligo Support Community. The three-day conference includes a Friday night welcoming, a full day of speakers and workshops on Saturday concluding with a dance party, and closing remarks on Sunday morning. The event is kid-friendly.
